Clinton invites Fino,
knockout for Berisha
In Madrid, the summit of NATO countries will be unlocked after the preliminary stage of the member states of the alliance have prepared a final text that pushes our country into marginality. This is the agreement for Albania’s entry into the Alliance. All the allies are in anxious suspense over this alliance. Clinton has gone so far as to meet Prime Minister Fino before the Madrid summit. Before even arriving in Madrid, he spoke with this prime minister as well. He has brought the Albanian issue up, and a meeting between them has been arranged. Bearing in mind the fact that two days before arriving in the Spanish capital at the penultimate summit of the new alliance countries, [?.] on the line for the United States, we have stopped [?.] the development of any process [?.] of the Albanian republic. This process should immediately use the president’s current controlling step. Power has passed into the hands of the police. The opposition’s complaints will be examined carefully. Voting may be postponed until the last Sunday of the month.

On Tuesday the NATO summit of member countries will take place in Madrid. For the first time, Albania will also be at the table of the pre-members of the alliance’s member countries. At the same time, on Madrid Day, Bashkim Fino, before entering the airport of this Spanish city, will have shaken hands with President Clinton. After the agreement to enter the structures of the new alliance is signed for our country, a meeting between Fino and American President Clinton has become possible, and the Albanian issue is at stake. The invitation goes to Prime Minister Fino and not to President Berisha. Bearing in mind that two days before arriving in the capital of Spain at the penultimate summit of the member countries, an agreement has been made that pushes our country into marginality, this is the agreement for Albania’s entry into the alliance. This has been received with anxiety by the Albanian right. For the first time, with the agreement reached between Fino and Clinton, there will not be even one more day of Berisha’s presidency with the arrival of his enemy by his side. This agreement is in the hands of the government, with its daily burden and that which comes from the president all the way to judges, police chiefs and mayors. For the first time on a clear day, neither the marches, nor the ministers, nor the SHIK police are avoided. The president will once again not be able to reconcile himself with the country and with his old devil. With the official completion of Albania’s entry, the era of communal dictatorship also ends. Analysts say that Fino will break off work with Berisha after receiving the final signal from Washington. For the first time, the head of the White House descends from the heights and definitively takes his place on the side of the Tirana government. Exclusively for this reason, it was officially announced that the final scenario of the Albanian elections will change. If Berisha does not yield on approving the voter lists and the right to an equal campaign, he will remain the only opponent of political compromise in Albania. It is by no means surprising if such an outcome also leads to the end of President Berisha’s campaign and to the formation of a provisional government after such a scenario. The Fino-Clinton meeting will discuss not only the crisis, but also the path Albania will follow after the elections. If nothing changes by Monday, the allies will consider Berisha the main obstacle to stability in the country.
